Preserving Family Heritage for Future Generations to Cherish

INFORM . . .
. . . on the details.

So often when the family gathers together the precious time we share is filled with talk of present concerns and events. In talking about all of the details of today, we may not leave enough room for sharing the past and all of the lessons and experiences of our wisest members.
We don’t always get to hear the full story of our parents:
Where they grew up;
what it was like for them;
the tough decisions they made;
the paths they chose; and who they ultimately have become.

Details can get lost in the course of conversation. The conversation may shift to other things, tangents break up the sequence of events and the full story is left behind. A third party perspective can get the story without interruption.
Through video interviews and photos from the subject's past, we will assemble an informative and entertaining narrative of a lifetime of paths and perspectives.

INSTILL . . .
. . . a sense of history.

We all benefit from a knowledge of where we come from. It gives us a feeling of attachment and place . . . a sense of tradition. The traditions that are passed on from generation to generation can be lost to the forces of suburbanization. Traditions give a flavor to our lives, enriching them with style and a sense of belonging.
Understanding our cultural heritage can inspire a link to the past and engender important realizations of identity.

. . . a sense of values.

The values of the past are constantly called into question in the open debate in America.
Without a reflection on the underlying principles that are responsible for the family's path, maturing adults would be remiss in forming values of “their own.”

INSPIRE . . .
. . . a sense of pride.

Pride nourishes the will and provides a buttress against adversity.
Knowledge of the challenges that our ancestors embraced and the adversities they overcame aid us in our own trials and can inspire us to face them fully.

. . . a sense of America.

Inspiring a sense of the American Experience is one of the richest benefits of a personal biography.
Real world examples of what America is about - freedom, self determination, fortitude, and growth - brings what may seem cliche into a special family focus.
